Hearst Corporation’s announcement to either sell or close the San Francisco Chronicle is more than a clear indication of what’s happening to the dying newspaper industry. Since 2006, the newspaper industry has been suffering because of decline in advertising revenue.
The debate whether newspapers will survive the next debate might conclude with an answer we might not want to here. I personally, am not ready to accept that newspapers will die till I see the last one phase out from this country. Yes, I am quiet optimistic. And why wouldn’t I be? We might not get the physical paper, but we still have them on the web. The concept of news gathering and dissemination only gets transformed into a new medium.
